Our Philosophy
De la Roche is a small family kennel, our aim is to contribute in a positive way
to the improvement of the Belgian Shepherd concentrating on breeding beautiful,
healthy, even-tempered dogs of correct breed type that can do it all. We
therefore put a lot of planning into our litters - breeding only once or twice a
year. Selecting from the best of Australian and European lines.
We believe in quality not quantity.
The
Dogs in our breeding program - while being valued members of our family, who
share our home (our dogs do not live in kennels) are
health tested prior to breeding
Our
policy when breeding our girls is to breed them to only healthy sound males of good temperament that have been
tested (hip scored (x-rayed) and wherever possible elbow scored (x-rayed) and eye certified
clear) for hereditary disease.
Our
males that are used at stud are also health tested, and are only available to
females that have also had their health checks done, be they our own or those of other breeders.
Our litters
are raised in the home, to ensure they will be well-adjusted little
individuals.
All puppies
are be vet checked, microchipped, wormed and immunized prior to leaving us. They
are sent to their new homes with a folder containing verification of this along
with their pedigree papers (where possible), care and dietary requirements,
ifetime breeder support, training tips and some relevant breed information.
We guarantee that our puppies go to their new homes in the best possible
health.
If
purchasing one of our puppies, we encourage communication from our puppy
buyers - we love to hear how they are doing. We offer a cash return for desexing and for a basic
obedience certificate of your pet. Once the certificates have been sighted and
this is verified with your vet/obedience school we will then reimburse a set
amount to you. Any enquiries about this policy are welcome. We offer this
because we feel it helps to promote responsible dog ownership.
If having
taken one of our puppies, and you can no longer home it, we are more than willing to
either help you find a new home for it or to have it returned to us. We are also
willing to help Belgians in this situation that are not of our breeding.
Please Note: Re-homing and
transport costs are at the expense of the owner. All information obtained in
relation to re-homes/rescues is taken on trust and no responsibility for the
animal in question is given or implied.

COULD YOU?
